Liquor Licensing

Liquor Licensing in Kwa-Zulu -Natal is administered by a statutory body referred to as the Kwa-Zulu-Natal Liquor Authority who administrate within the confines of the Kwa-Zulu-Natal Liquor Licensing Act No.6 of 2010.

We would also be able to administer licenses in all provinces within the Republic.

  • Fact: The Liquor Authority has a quota of licenses that it approves with in specific area.

The Act provides various requirements and levels of compliance to successfully obtain a Liquor License.

Such requirements are depended on the type of liquor license or service required; these include:

  • Off Consumption Licenses ( Liquor may not be consumed on the premises, example a bottle store).
  • On Consumption Licence (Liquor sold may only be consumed on the premises example a pub or tavern)
  • Distributors Licence (Liquor may be only sold to licensed outlets)
  • Wholesale Licence
  • Renewal of Licenses
  • Transfer of License.
  • Transfer of licensed premises

We prepare and ensure that all requisite documents are attended to, in order to facilitate a successful lodgment of application at the KZN Liquor Authority or relevant provincial authority.
